Dear Alumnus,
It is our pleasure to inform you that the First Convocation for conferring degrees on behalf of University
of Mumbai will be held on Sunday, the 14th February 2016 at 06.00 PM at Sports Courtyard of
Polytechnic. The Degrees will be awarded to those who have passed the final examination and have
completed their Degree in Engineering and Pharmacy in May/June 2015 examinations.
On behalf of AIKTC, we extend a cordial invitation to you and your parents to attend the Convocation and to
receive your Degrees in person. You are requested to be present at Sports Courtyard of Polytechnic at
04.00 pm sharp on the day. Please note that the late comers, whose names are not included in the list of
the awards of Degree in person, will have to collect their Degree after the ceremony is over.
Dr. Zahir I. Kazi, President, Anjuman-I-Islam and Chairman, Board of Governors of AIKTC will distribute
Degrees to the successful students on behalf of University of Mumbai. The detailed program is attached
herewith.
We would like to emphasis that the alumni receiving their Degrees in person will be expected to dress in a
manner befitting the solemn occasion (Boys: White Long Kurta & Black/Blue Jeans/Trousers; Girls: White
Kurti & Black/Blue Jeans/Trousers or Complete Hijab). Please note that Utaria (Cloak/Robe) and
Convocation Cap will be provided by the institution when you attend convocation.
Please do make it convenient to attend the Convocation and let us have your confirmation as per enclosed
reply (along with other Performa shared on your email address, such as Degree students' information, feedback) which may please be
signed so as to reach us by 12th February 2016 positively either by email or post or hand delivery.
If no reply is received from you by the said date, it will be presumed that you do not intend to receive the Degree
in person at the convocation aforesaid and no arrangements will be made for you.If you have not yet filled the
Convocation form, please fill it up immediately. Please note that only those who have applied for Convocation
are eligible to receive degree at the Convocation.
Please note that outside photographers will not be permitted at the degree awarding venue. If you are
interested in having photographs taken during your turn of receiving degree, you may contact the official
photographer. We emphasize that strict discipline and decorum must be maintained in the solemn
occasion.
