Mumbai University-Seed IT Idol title and all awards won by students of Kalsekar Technical Campus, Navimumbai

Mumbai University-Seed IT Idol title and all awards won by students of Kalsekar Technical Campus, Navimumbai

Computer Engineering Students of Kalsekar Technical Campus, School of Engg and Technology, Navi Mumbai bagged Winner, first runner-up and second runner-up prizes  and became IT Idol for the year 2015 of Mumbai University. This is first time in the history students of one college won all top three prizes, since the Mumbai University Started IT Idol competition.

·         First Prize won by Mr. Zainul Abideen(Third Yr Computer Engg.)

·         First Runner-up prize won by: Mr. Shoeb Khan(Final Yr Computer Engg.)

·         Second Runner-up Prize won by : Mr. Abdul Mugeesh (Final Yr Computer Engg.)

Mumbai University and SEED InfoTech  jointly organized the IT Idol 2015 competition, throughout Mumbai university . Total 3748 students appeared for the first round conducted at college level. Second round of the competition conducted on 7^th April 2015 at Phirojshah Mehta Bhavan, Mumbai University, Kalina Campus. 300 students were shortlisted for second round, a MCQ type test of 30 min and 30 marks conducted , where top 38 students promoted for 3^rd round, which is rapid fire questioning round. Out of 38 students 12 students were from the Kalsekar Technical Campus. Out of 38 students 12 students were shortlisted for  4^th Round ,which is a case study round. Final round consists of 10 finalist out of it 06 students were from Kalsekat Tech Campus. In the final round top 3 were chosen based on the technical expertise and personality trait questioning.

During the IT Idol competition as a token of appreciation for great contributation by Prof. P. S. Lokhande, Training & Placement Officer ,Kalsekar Technical Campus was honored with Appreciation Certificate by Faculty , University Dept. of Computer Science.

As a prize Mumbai University-Seed IT Idol  winner (First Prize)  was awarded with Tablet, 100% discount on SEED course+ SEED sack+ SEED T shirt

First runner up awarded with Nikon Digital Camera and  100% discount on SEED course+ SEED sack+ SEED T shirt

Second Runner-up awarded with Android Smart phone, 100% discount on SEED course+ SEED sack+ SEED T shirt.

Learns QAD processes and procedures 4. Full time employment with QAD for those who successful complete internship at the end of 6 months. Screening Levels 1. Tests: Technical test, Aptitude test, English language test 2. Technical interview 3. HR interview 4. Final interview Other details:

· Job Location: Goregaon (West), Mumbai

 · Monthly Stipend during internship: Rs. 15000 per month for 6 months.

Role: (Maintenance Support)

· 1 month classroom training followed by on the job training.

 · Analysis of assigned technical incidents related to core products post training

 · Later assigned more complex issues under the supervision of a senior resource.

 · Providing fixes to issues in the core product.

 · Testing and Quality Assurance Role: (Customer Support)

· Duplicating and analyzing the reported issues.

· Efficiently search solutions to customer issues that are reported

· Provide 24*7 support to customers (should be ready to work in day shifts)

 · Learns to use professional concepts.

 · Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues

 · Works on problems of limited scope.

· Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

· Preparing problem analysis documents and maintaining QAD knowledge base articles Role: (Cloud Operations Technical)

· Provide technical support to QAD products.

· Provide 24*7 support to customers (should be ready to work in shifts including the night shift)

· Initial class room training & on job training will be provided on QAD processes and products.

 · Will work on both "Cloud" & "On Premise" product support.

· Work on assigned technical support incidents related to core products except system down and critical issues for the first 6 months and later on assigned system down and critical issues too under the supervision of a senior resource.

· Alert monitoring, maintenance activity, documentation of Root Cause Analysis & procedures.
