Sir, u r really striving for student's pklacement. I've realized it when TCS Maitree team came to our college for AIDS session.
I just want to request u one thing that please also provide some special attention for ELEX students.........
Because u r the one who will decide our future.
Our college has made a right decision by appointing u as a TPO.
Thank u
Dear Capriprank,
Every students is special for me,
I am not limited to any specific department.
as an TPO I have same feeling for all branches.
For your kind information , we MORE ET.,Elex companies visited and recruited ET elex students, than IT companies for recruitment at our campus between the period Jan 2008 to till date.
I have lots of things in my mind for you people.
Thanks for the word of appreciation.
Feel free to contact me.

Hello Sir,
I,Mangesh Gunjal, C.R. of TE IT1 class. Sir I just wanted to make you realize that even if we are studying in
Information Technology Branch, there is no essence of such thing in our college that make us realize of being a part
of this tremendous competitive Information Age.
Like I am observing through my friends studying in other colleges where there are lots of activities being carried out
such as conducting seminars/GD's on latest cutting edge Technologies/trends in IT organized by the MNC's, and all such
sort of activities in their respective colleges.
Also some colleges provide global certification courses such as CCNA, MCSE, SCJP,etc. in their colleges providing
Discounts in their examination fees.
Also I had observed that there is no awareness among students(IT/COMP) about what are the latest trends and
technologies in IT. Even many of them dont know which is the LATEST PROCESSOR in market. They are also unaware of
many such technological facts.
As a C.R. of my class I had organized a Seminar Series in my class considering there would be placements in
next sem,in which every student will present their seminars but the compulsion was to present it only on IT related stuff.
For this to make them get involved in this activity, I gave a seminar for about 30minutes in our class on the topic
"OPEN SOURCE". Also Vidya mam was present there. But I am observing that nobody is daring or might be not interested
in this activity.
Well Sir, I know that there are lots of other work behind you and you might be not able to address my above
stuff. But still you are making every possibility for us to make get placed in reputed companies, the job you are doing
is very much commendable.
Sir, I might be not liable to say above things to you so I apologize if there is anything wrong said by me.
Thanking You...
Yours Faithfully,
Mangesh Gunjal
Thank you for arranging the test, Sir. The latter technical half was a real eye-opener. Thank you for taking all the trouble.
Didn't know of your blog before this. Now I'm subscribed to your feeds. Thank You very much.

Dear Mangesh,
I can understand u r concern which I found as follows.
1) No seminar, GD,Industry Expert Talks etc
2) global certification courses
3)Seminar by students.
It's not the case that we r not considering the importance of spreading current IT industry knowledge. Wherever we tried to initiate something in this direction we got very poor response. For example when u were in SE fourth sem I have arranged an industrial visit within mumbai at Jwelery design Colloge IIJT, I have pested the notice on the door of each and every class of IT/Comp/Elex/ET. My aim was not to teach u jwelery designing but to introduce the current IT/Elex technologies in the field like jwelery design. We were very disappointed as not a single was responded. If all of u feel the need to keep u r self updated we will arrange some programs in the comming days.
2)Now regarding global certification cources. I have ton's of proposal to conduct certification cources like CCNA, MCSE etc. But to protect the interest of students I refused them to come in campus. Why....??? they have first condition- at least 50 students must enroll, to match the min 50 students criteria college has to meke it compulsory for the students. besides this they will teach the entire course within a week (one can guess the effectiveness of course). and lots of conditions that I can't disclose as it is related to college.
3) Seminar by students: for promoting students we will make one group/ students association. which will create/promote students to take part in such events.
If you want to take initative in this direction I will definitly help you.
Thanks for putting your concerns which is for the betterment of students. As all of you know that I am the HEAVYLY work loaded person in the college. I have to look after the all computer related purchasing, maintenance, vender management, follow up's, issues solving, arranging interviews, in the capacity of HOD I have to handle issues of IT dept staff. AICTE compliance reports etc...and many more. But it's life and I enjoy work.
Regards
