FAST TRACK SELECTION (FTS) BY
IAF
1.
Indian Air Force offers a great career opportunity to young
aspirants for making a bright and dynamic career.
It has been our endeavour to provide adequate options to the youth pursuing various streams and levels of education to join different branches in IAF through various entry modes.
With a view to reach out to the candidates, IAF conducts campus selections drives called Fast Track Selection (FTS) in reputed educational institutions spread all over the country from time to time. The aim of FTS is to shortlist the candidates at various campuses for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards. FTS was last conducted in February / March 2010 which was a great success in terms
of participation.
2. In response to the encouraging results of earlier drives, IAF has planned a Fast Track Selection for induction into
Technical Branch in Officers' cadre. FTS has been scheduled to be conducted on 03 – 04 October 2010 at Mumbai.
3. Your Institute(Watumal College, Worli) is being considered for designating as one of the centres for hosting FTS event. The students from all the colleges located within the region would be called at the designated centres to appear for the FTS. An Air Force selection team
comprising of eight Class-I Gazatted Officers, five class-II Gazetted officers and fifteen other ranks would visit the designated FTS centre for a period of two days to undertake all the selection activities.
Testing. On completion of
registration, a written examination would be conducted by the AF selection team. The results of written test would
be declared at periodical intervals on the same day.
All qualified candidates would undergo Phase-I Test (Picture
Perception & Discussion Test) either on the same day or on
subsequent day. Phase-I qualified candidates will
be issued call letters by the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) for
subsequent testing.
4. Conduct of FTS would give an opportunity to all the passed out students and working professionals of the region to appear for selection for officers' cadre and would largely benefit them in exercising their career option.
