C-DAC's Advanced Computing Training School for IT & Engineering Graduates.
With the wave of recession receding IT companies are once again recruiting in large numbers. Companies like Infosys, TCS and Wipro have announced their plans to recruit over 30 to 40,000 employees.
For fresh graduates who wish to make the most of the upcoming opportunities, this is the right time to enhance their technical skills.
Today, most IT students are unaware of the practical applications of the concepts they learn. They lack a sound base in programming due to their exam oriented approach to studies. As a result there is a gap between what the IT Industry expects and what an IT graduate can deliver.
To bridge this gap C-DAC, the Center for Development in Advanced Computing offers a Post-graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC) for Engineering and IT graduates. This course covers Java and .Net after first building a very strong base in C, C++ and Database technologies. The entire training is hands-on and imparted by very experienced corporate trainers. Apart from technical skills, today's employers are also looking for soft skills such as good communication skills - verbal as well as written, team-work and organisation skills. Keeping this in mind, CDAC has made soft skill training an integral part of the course. The students are selected through an All India Entrance Test.
C-DAC, the Center for Development in Advanced Computing is a national initiative of the Ministry of IT, Govt of India and has made India's first super-computer 'Param'. CDAC has set up its Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) in 1993 to impart high-end training at reasonable cost to the youth of India.
