Indian Army : short service commission under the university entry scheme (UES)

1. The advertisement inviting applications for the direct entry short service commission under the university entry scheme (UES) was published in the employment news (week 26 June to 02 July 10) (advertisement copy attached).

 The campus selection under this scheme for final year engineering students (7th semester only), for July 11 course has commenced in September and scheduled to November 10. It is scheduled in  Mumbai from 25 to 29 Oct 10.   Naval Team is available on 29 Oct 10 at  Pillai's Institute of IT (MHA139) ( TPO Ms Swati / Mr Wilson Pinto) to carry out interview for students who apply fresh from your college.

2.  You may send fresh applications by your college students and direct them to appear
for the Interview at 0930 hr on 29 Oct 10 at  Pillai's Institute of IT, Engg Media studies & Research,10, Sector 16, PODI II, New Panvel, Raigad 410206.
  The  broad eligibility criteria for short listing students  is a follows:-  

             (i)   Streams -  Only Mechanical Engineering ( though other streams also applicable).

             (ii)   Women - Branch  Naval Architect  and Logistics

             (iii)   Average >= 60% average upto  VI semesters ( No back logs) 

             (iv)   Age 19-24 yrs.

      Note: The detailed  eligibility criteria is given at para 2 & 3 of the UES 11 advertisement. For sake of 
      brevity & clarity the same is attached. 

.    Request advice the students to bring along the completed applications forms at the venue.
The details are as follows:- 

       (i) Obtain signature of the principal on the declaration given at the end of the application.

       (ii) Although candidates may be eligible for more than one branch yet they have to submit only one

       application and mention priority at para 14 of Application format.

       (iii) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of 10 th standard certificate for DOB and Marks 

       statement of all the six semesters.

Crossed the Magical figure of 1 Lac Visitors.

Dear Students,

When I took the charge of TPO on my student request, I never imagined that my blog will cross figure of 100000 visitors.

I started my blog in July 2008 , within the span of 2 years you people have created history. Today my blog is the most visited blog and popular among the students from all over India. Students , TPO's from various colleges (Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Kurukshetra, Amritsar, Chennai, Mangalore, Bangalore) consistently communicating with me. Through this blog I tried to solve the problem of each and every student specially wanted  to mention about the Patni Computers, I got several comments on Patni Joining, I mailed all the details to the Patni Mumbai HR and requested her to look in to the matter and also visited and narrated the whole story of panicked students (Out of Mumbai University) Patni HR was very cooperative , shecarefully listened all story and assured me to look in to the matter .

Daily I am spending 4-5 hours on internet to reply mails / comments on blog and to update blog. Though I am not getting any monetary benefit out of that but today I am more satisfied and happy that I am giving something to the nation / society.

Sincere gratitude to all students & well wishers for your continuous support, guidance and encouragement. And I'm sure, this support will continue over the coming years.
